2017 marked a turning point in South Africa’s response to the HIV epidemic, with over half of the 7 million people living with HIV now receiving antiretroviral treatment. While this is welcome progress, we are still a long way from reaching the global 90-90-90 targets. Anova continues to partner with government health services and communities to reach these targets – with over 750 000 people tested for HIV in supported facilities and over 60 000 people starting antiretroviral treatment in the last year.
