Lesedi Lechabile

Anova partners with Lesedi-Lechabile for its work in Mpumalanga.

Lesedi-Lechabile is Non Profit community organisation based in Welkom . Their primary goal is to prevent the spread of STI/HIV/AIDS among vulnerable communities in the mining towns of the Northern Free State. 

Their services include the focus on youth through the Youth Centre (Y-Centre)  an activities include life skills programme as an investment in an improved future for the youth of the District of Matjhabeng.

They work with women through High Transmission Area (HTA) project focusing on women most at risk, including women involved in sex work in the mines and surrounding communities  as well  target older men in communities and in their workplaces (such as Mines)

Lesedi men’s programme aims to engage men on an ongoing basis to encourage men to adopt prevention strategies to lower their risk of HIV infection including Medical Male Circumcision as well as to encourage men to access services at the Lesedi men’s clinic.
