Johns Hopkins Health and Education South Africa (JHHESA)

Projects Supported

Johns Hopkins Health and Education in South Africa (JHHESA) uses a strategic communication approach that combines facts, creative ideas, and theories to respond to health-related issues. The work of JHHESA and its partners is to educate people about their health and well being, particularly in the area of HIV and AIDS. Anova’s HIV & AIDS Media Project receives PEFFAR/USAID funding through JHHESA.

Their work supports the National HIV and AIDS Strategic Plan which seeks to reduce the number of new HIV infections by 50 per cent and to ensure that 80 per cent of all people in need have access to quality care, support and treatment by 2011.
