Desmond Tutu HIV Foundation
Anova partners with the Desmond Tutu HIV Foundation (DTHF), based at the University of Cape Town's Institute of Infectious Disease and Molecular Medicine to support primary care clinics in greater Cape Town's and to provide mobile HCT services.
DTHF is run in association with the Desmond Tutu HIV Centre at the University of Cape Town's Institute of Infectious Disease and Molecular Medicine. The Foundation operates community sites in greater Cape Town's Nyanga and Masiphumelele districts. The Foundation was established in 2004 but had started as the HIV Research Unit based at New Somerset Hospital in the early 1990s. It is well known as one of the first public clinics to offer antiretroviral therapy to those living with HIV.
