Compliance Manager

We are looking for a Compliance Manager to provide assurance over the effectiveness of controls by monitoring compliance with statutory and donor requirements and the organisation’s policies and procedures. Key duties and responsibilities

  •  Conduct external partner audits on a regular basis, investigate discrepancies and report findings
  •  Ensure that all audit recommendations are implemented in terms of statutory and donor requirements
  •  Conduct periodic internal reviews to ensure that compliance procedures are being followed
  •  Consult with the organisation’s attorney as and when necessary to address complex legal compliance issues
  •  Conducts special investigations, inspections or reviews on fraud, suspect cases or irregularities requested by the senior management
  •  Design and implement improved processes in monitoring and enforcement of compliance standards
  •  Disseminate written policies and procedures related to compliance activities

Essential qualifications and experience 

  •  BCom Degree in Accounting or equivalent qualification
  •  Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a compliance role preferably in an NPC
  •  Donor Funding in an NGO environment will be an advantage
  •  Sound knowledge of donor policies & procedures
  •  Internal audit  Basic contractual knowledge
  •  Ability to operate in a dynamic environment
  •  Experience in managing staff
